    When you become an ABCMIND & Company Member, you are welcome to participate in any of our three live phone programs from the comfort of your own home: CALM, CLEAR & STORIES. To keep things personal and productive, we have a limit of 10 people in our sessions. Please sign up now if you are interested or call us at 888-808-8909 for further information and to be added to the waiting list. Programs are ongoing so you can join anytime that works for you.     CALM TM

    MONDAY AT 9:30 PM EASTERN

    The abcmind CALM Program is an "Auditory Visualization Experience" where we practice training our mind in relaxation and resilience via our scheduled Monday evening Phone-Meetings. (We also offer an email Newsletter & Web Training Program and have an iPhone CALM app in the works.)

    Each CALM session is a short, refreshing 25 minutes, where you sit back, relax and listen to a guided tour of the ABCMIND framework of thinking and living more fully engaged with: (1) your relaxation response, (2) your love of beauty, (3) healthy interconnectedness and (4) the development of purpose-filled habits.

    Sharing a private space with other creative people who are focused on taking time out from busy life to calm the heart and mind ...leads to increasing resourcefulness, self-compassion and effectiveness. 

    We accomplish the abcmind CALM goals by mindfully breathing and letting go of the body tensions that have accumulated during the week and by mentally answering the questions posed by the CALM guide. We move out of states of worry, procrastination and negative thinking, while building flexible internal resources. Together we learn from the warm voice-tour of the instructor and our own observation.

    In addition to providing a lovely strengthening experience, we prioritize privacy and a regular space to practice these skills, thus you may join us from wherever you live from the comfort of your own home by joining our weekly Monday evening Phone-Meetings:

    CLEAR TM

    WEDNESDAY AT 8:30 PM EASTERN

    The CLEAR Forum is a discussion space that focuses on "Getting Important Things Done" by reminding ourselves what we love and accountability around the specific actions to take on our creative and life projects.

    CLEAR meets live via the phone every Wednesday evening from 8:30-9:00 pm Eastern time. You may begin anytime and come and go as it works for you during the month.

    We continually introduce important concepts and practice guides for making good choices in relation to what we want to accomplish both short and long term. This is the place to come if you are feeling a lack of focus, want inspiration, or need dedicated time and support to be more effective. We gain perspective on the decisions that are best for us and build skill sets to accomplish cherished outcomes. Together we learn the ABCMIND framework underlying achievement: (1) your values (2) your purpose and (3) your process.

     

    STORIES TM

    Recording and Sharing our Memories One Story At a Time
    STORIES is a casual environment to share important, memorable, significant or just plain fun stories from our lives. The things we want to remember and pass on, as if around the campfire with dear friends in the night. Little snippets of your past that you want to have handy, to possibily elaborate upon in the future, impressions that you want to keep safe or one day share.

    PSYCHOLOGICAL COACHING

    One-to-one Psychological Coaching is successful (a) for people facing difficult challenges emotionally or interpersonally (b) for those wanting to have a healthier outlook and enact a plan to shape their lives from a place of greater understanding, and (c) for people recovering from depression or other mood-related concerns. ABCMIND Psychological Coaching is an effective partnership and, for New York residents, is conducted while walking at a local nature preserve or art museum. A traditional office setting is also available, as are phone sessions for non-NY residents.

     

    MEDITATION

    Meditation practice is offered to individuals who are seeking an introduction to the study of calming the mind  and integrating our physical selves with an understanding of good posture, breathing and movement. Research shows that strength and positive awareness come from participating in meditation practices. Please email us your interest and request a free session pass. We offer a respectful, non-judgmental atmosphere to learn & practice these valuable skills and partner with Steel Flower Company to offer these services over the phone and in mobil apps integrated with an email reminder system. Steel Flower Company offers these valuable services to individuals and companies to increase productivity, reduce burnout and boost immunity.

     

    STRENGTH TESTING

    Psychological assessment services are offered in the area of Personal Strength Testing. This is useful for anyone, young or old, who would like to learn what their greatest strengths are according to research from the field of positive psychology on character strengths and virtues and is based on the measurement devices developed by the VIA Institute. Assessment shows you how to leverage an understanding of your strengths for greater life satisfaction and accomplishment. The service includes a measurement session administered online in a 45 minute confidential test battery, and two 50 minute follow-up individual coaching meetings to discuss and interpret the results in light of your current endeavors. Clients report this to be an extremely beneficial experience and are often surprised to learn exactly what are their strongest assets. It is recommended for abcmind participants and anyone wanting to tap into greater life satisfaction.

    Melody Lutterman 

      ...Melody specializes in imagery coaching, an approach that combines elements of both coaching and positive visualization leading clients toward their desired goals. She helps free the individuals with whom she works from the stresses and typical constraints that they face. She is the creator of ValuableYou, is a published writer and leader in the field of offering visualization services. She is dedicated to the success of her clients and is a valuable partner to all who work with her. One specialty of her imagery coaching is the release of trauma and long-standing blockages in relation to pain management and overall wellness. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and an extensively educated and credentialed coach.

     

    About the Founder & Program Director

    Hilary Frisch

      ...Hilary conducted her graduate studies at the University of Minnesota in experimental social psychology with a doctoral minor in statistics and research design. She taught both undergraduates and graduate students at the University of Minnesota in advanced social psychological theory, at Marist college in statistics and research design to counseling psychology masters students and at Mercy College in clinical psychology. She is published in the field of interpersonal relationship theory and is a member of the American Psychological Association and certified practitioner with the International Coach Federation.                           

       ...Hilary graduated Brown University in psychology and art and was a principle member of Brown’s professional dance company. She was the artistic director for three consecutive seasons of MTV Real World, the production designer for the lovely art film, Universal Signs, and has held numerous art department positions in films directed by Kevin Smith, M. Night Shyamalan, Lee Daniels, Nick Brisco and Ann Calamia. Using her background in these fields, she holds a private coaching practice with clients one-on-one in New York, and with individuals and groups internationally via tele-conference. In partnership, she works with clients to create resourcefulness through reflection and practical strength building. 

     

    Melody and Hilary believe in being part of an on-going community of people who practice the fundamentals of psychological strength with the goal of living in a state of purpose and action. ABCMIND practices are designed in this light.
